Canning is becoming more popular than ever, especially with the overwhelming emphasis on food awareness, eating well, and incorporating local, fresh ingredients in cooking.
Making your own prepared foods allows you to lead a more healthy lifestyle, as there are no preservatives added and no unpronounceable ingredients. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of water bath canning. You will participate in actually canning jars of tomatoes and will be able to take a jar home. The workshop will be taught by a Clemson Extension Agent, Faith Israel.
