Do-It-Yourself Lawn Maintenance

Have a lush green lawn! Easy Four-Step Lawn Care Program - Be the envy of your neighbors!

It’s the perfect time to begin planning for the perfect lawn. Our easy four-step program has proven successful for customers that have signed up in January and received a discount on lawn care products throughout the year. No matter whether your grass is Centipede, St. Augustine, Bermuda, or Zoysia our program can help you be the envy of your neighborhood.

How to get started.

  1. Determine what kind of grass you have. If you don’t know, bring us a clump and we will try to identify it. If we can’t, we will send you to the Clemson Extension office for identification.
  2. Figure out how many square feet of lawn you have. A rough estimate is ok.
  3. Receive a 25% discount if you pay in advance. Or, purchase each step as you need it. Click a type of grass to the right for pricing: St AugustineCentipede & ZoysiaBermuda
  4. Know your spreader. Click here to learn about spreader settings.
  5. Get your soil tested (optional, but recommended for best results). Stop by Wingard’s and we will give you a soil sample bag and instructions for collecting the sample. Mail your soil sample and payment to Clemson Extension and they will mail you the results. When your results come in, we can help you read the results and determine if you need to apply any extra amendments before starting the program. This step is helpful, but it is not mandatory in order to get started with the program.
  6. Enjoy your lush green lawn!
