You are welcome to submit an application any time of year. If we are not hiring, we will hold onto it until a need for new staff arises.
We typically hire Sales Associates, Cashiers, and Operations Associates in early January to work mid-February to mid-June during our busy Spring season. Possibility of employment beyond the season, depending on performance and needs of the business.
High school and college students are encouraged to apply and may work less than 20 hours per week. We will work around your class schedule during the week, but you will be required to work most Saturdays, all day.
SALES ASSOCIATE – Help customers select plants, including trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, tropicals and indoor plants. Answer questions regarding plant characteristics and care. Assist with pricing, watering, merchandising and cleaning. Some weekend hours required. Basic plant knowledge required. Additional plant knowledge can be gained “on the job”. Full-day and half day-shifts available. Must be able to work outside in varying weather conditions.
CASHIERS – Use computer point-of-sale system to process sales transactions. Keyboard dexterity is very important. Must be comfortable working under time pressure. Some weekend hours required. Basic plant knowledge helpful, but not required.
OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE – Unload trucks, price plant material, place plants and other merchandise in selling area. Load purchases into customers’ vehicles. Keep sales and work areas clean. Make deliveries. Some weekend hours required. Basic plant knowledge helpful, but not required. Must be physically fit, able to work outside under varying weather conditions, and able to to lift 50 lbs.
