Typically spotted slowing walking in quiet areas along lake shores, streams, swamps, or flooded fields.

This majestic bird is known for it’s gorgeous color patterns. They are typically dark in color but when seen up close or in the sunlight their heads are a showy purple with dark blue colored back.
